# OpenAfya

> OpenAfya is a transactional digital health platform connecting patients, doctors, hospitals, and ministries of health across Africa — find a provider, book an appointment, and manage care online.

OpenAfya brings together independent doctors, affiliated practitioners, hospitals, and public-health institutions on one platform. Patients can search verified providers, book and pay for appointments, and keep a portable medical record. Healthcare professionals get a lightweight mini-SIH (consultations, prescriptions, exam requests, certificates, vaccinations) and operational tools (agenda, secretariat, hospital administration).
